Memory Care

Memory care is a specialized form of care for those with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia related to memory impairment. Our memory care communities can be part of a larger community or a stand-alone community, secure and exclusively devoted to the care and service of those with memory impairment. All staff are specially trained and licensed to work with memory care residents. A separate license is required for this program, and everything from activities to meals and entertainment is geared toward the very unique needs of these residents. As mentioned under “Our Philosophy”, the goal here is to create “5 Minutes of Joy” for each resident every time we see them.

The Care Center has 48 apartments, with three floor plans and all apartments are available for single or companion occupancy.  The apartments are clustered into four unique neighborhoods, with 12 apartments in each neighborhood, each with it's own theme, style, and activities appropriate for the residents of the neighborhood.

The secure Memory Care is located on the ground floor, one area has ten suites designated for secure memory care, and one area with twelve suites designed for light memory care.

If you are searching for a comfortable space to make your own, with close proximity to fine dining and great social interaction with your neighbors and care givers, the Studio Apartment will satisfy most everyone's needs.

Studio Apartments are available in the Memory Care and High Acuity Assisted Living neighborhoods.

Plus, snacks are offered along with special cookouts and events during the month. And, there are private dining rooms to accommodate family visits and guests who may want to join residents for meals and special occasions.  Assisted Living residents receive the all meals plan.

ARE RESIDENT ROOMS FURNISHED?  Residents are encouraged to bring their own furniture, decorations and momentos so that their new home is more familiar and "just like home" or we’ll provide furnishings as needed. Elders can also bring their own towels, bed linens, and even window coverings. These items are optional, depending upon the resident’s choice.

Gardening to dance lessons… as well as church services and socials… keep residents as busy as they’d like. Of course, there are exercise and jazz-ercise classes, too. Plus, concerts, shopping trips and special events are scheduled every month. Each community has a specialized activities and life enrichment program – usually developed with input from our residents. Which makes taking a break on a bench in the courtyards or rocking on one of the porches an even more relaxing time in between.
